Studio Demolding & Casting Best Practices
- Preparation: Ensure mold interior is spotless, dry, and free of dust. For rigid PC molds, lightly mist silicone release spray or wipe with a drop of mineral oil.
- Pouring: Pour wax, soap base, or plaster steadily into the mold. Gently tap the sides or base on the tabletop to release trapped micro-bubbles from intricate textures.
- Curing & Release: Allow casting to cool and solidify completely at room temperature before demolding. For silicone molds, peel the outer walls back gently before lifting the cast. Never use sharp blades inside the cavity.
- Care & Storage: Wash with mild dish soap and warm water. Store flat away from direct sunlight and dust.
